A lot of fluff and unnecessary moments leading up to the big cliffhanger. I wish the journey felt a little bit more fleshed out.

Complicated
was slightly repetitive, and the plot wasn't overly fascinating. I wish more had happened, and it was less dragged out. The 'pretend' happened too often when it evidently wasn't pretend. I did like how he was finding her as a plot point before it kept getting repeated. However, the small moments were so fun to read. I liked seeing both sides of the story. The developments to the relationship were fun, and there were some shocking twists in a good way. The cave scene and them using their 'last breaths' to kiss each other was so cute. I loved the depth of their love. Kai was so caring and loyal. He went to extreme lengths for Paedyn, which was adorable. He is my all-time favourite book character. He cares deeply for his loved ones. Paedyn was brave and strong. She knew what she wanted and had such determination. She was also deeply caring. She battled so much and carried her emotions so well. The ending was shocking. Loved all the romantic scenes and how we got an insight into their individual lives.

How about I kill myself instead.

I am rounding up on my rating. I feel like it was more of a 3.5 stars for me rather than 4. The ending felt predictable to me and maybe that’s an unpopular opinion but it’s mine. Also I loved the MC’s so much in the first book and I still do. I just feel like this book dragged on a little through the middle and I would have liked to see more character development.

Oh man. I was really looking forward to this book. I will say I was close to DNFing this book until about 80% of the way through, the last 20% of the book was slightly redeeming. I am giving it a 3 stars because of this. No plot, no character development for Kai or Paedyn and absolutely no world building.
I really wished this book had more going on. Will continue series for Kitt’s villain arc alone.
