Reckless picks up right where Powerless left off, throwing you back into the dangerous world where Paedyn is on the run and Kai—now the Enforcer—is caught between his duty and his heart. The stakes are higher, the threats sharper, and every page hums with tension as they dodge capture and grapple with their explosive connection.

Told in dual POV, both Paedyn’s grit and Kai’s inner conflict come vividly to life. While there’s a touch of repetition in the middle, the story’s momentum never fully falters. Their chemistry is the definition of a super slow burn—drawn-out, delicious, and just a little maddening.

And that ending… I’m still shook. The cliffhanger blindsided me in the best (and worst) way. Im starting book three tomorrow!

Just amazing!! The tension between Kai and Pae 🔥🔥💛 So gripping and pacy, with raised stakes that are emotionally moving. Loved!

Hmm… this book was okay. For the majority of Reckless not much happens that progresses the plot or moves the overall story forward. The pacing is veryyyyy slow and repetitive. It felt like the same thing would happen over and over again until eventually the ending happened. And it was a twist! I was intrigued by the first book’s, Powerless, twist and same with this one.

One thing I really wish I could get into is the love between Kai and Paedyn. I think there are interesting aspects of their characters and how that would play into their relationship (Paedyn being Ordinary and Kai being Elite but only able to use powers available around him - so with Paedyn he’s basically powerless). I just don’t feel their spark very much so far! Sort of getting tired of the will-they-won’t-they aspect as well…

Overall an alright book and installment to the series, I think I’ll continue it because I am interested to see what happens next.

I had a fun time reading the book. However, at about 50% of the book the cat-and-mouse game between Kai and Pae started getting a bit repetitive for me. Also the end of the book had me so shook I literally started hysterically laughing out loud. I still don’t know if that’s a good thing or not lol.
The last book really is gonna be a make or break moment for the series for me.
