I’m really torn about this book, I was ready for it to be the first book that I added to my DNF pile (I simply cannot finish a book so that should tell you a lot).
However, there was something about the book that wouldn’t let me give up (& probably my own pig headedness).
If I’m being honest, I find it a bit crude. Some of the language that is used just makes me cringe and as someone from Glasgow I didn’t find it as relatable as I think it was intended.
All in all - it was ok.

This is poorly written, crude, cringy and down right disgusting in some parts....
But I still found myself enjoying at times!
It's a 1st person perspective story of a 29 year old struggling to get her life together. It was refreshingly honest if not a bit over the top at times. I literally burst out laughing several times reading it and reminded me a bit of Bridget Jones Diary, if only more R rated!
I don't think I'd re read because of the writing style: it felt like reading a 16 years old English essay at school and the main character was a bit too hopeless to be realistic, but not the worst book ever

Found this book very cringey and not well written. Undertones of fatphobia was unsettling also.
