The artwork progresses as the volume continues, so do the stories. But rather than a continuous piece about a character, it feels more like random stories pieced together with Tomie being in them. The stories (except for Painter) have a local-myth-like feeling to them. Tomie has an interesting concept but doesn't feel as content as Ito's other works. It is fun to read nonetheless yet not one I'd to actively seek to read.
