I put off reading this book for as long as I could, knowing that I would probably collapse in the reading of it. Now that I've been thorugh it, I am almost glad that I waited until I was emotionally raw to take it up. It was a beautiful read.

Not what I expected, and it took a moment to get used to reading a story narrated by a dog, but i really enjoyed this book.

I sobbed through the first chapter of this. I could only think of The Girls (who we had to put down within 6 weeks of each other in the fall of 2010). I laughed out loud during different parts of Enzo's reflections. This made me wish even more that dogs could talk with us! =)

I have to say that I quite enjoyed reading this book. It was impossible not to cheer Danny in his fight against his in-laws. It seriously made me wonder how can people be so heartless (yes, it is a work of fiction, but we all know people like this just exists). I did enjoy the contrast of these "evil twins" and the good-hearted dog. The end was a bit too far-fetched for me when Enzo, the narrator-dog, was asked to testify at court.
Even though it had several light moments and I wouldn't call it a total waste of time I still wouldn't recommend the book.

I admit, even though this book has a cute story idea and an even more adorable cover, I wasn't going to read this. However, one day I was in a charity shop looking through their books and saw this. It was less than £2, in perfect condition. I am so glad I bought it because it was amazing. I've read some reviews on this book and a lot of people complained about the parts describing racing. I admit, I wasn't enthralled by those bits either, but I didn't really care. I loved seeing the world through Enzo's eyes and I'll never look at dogs the same. Enzo was funny, incredibly intelligent, and compassionate. I am still more of a cat lover but I LOVED this book! I read it in one sitting.

Great read for anyone who's ever wondered what their dog is thinking. I love, love this book told from the dog's perspective :)
