I'm not sure how accurate this rating is, because I was expecting a different story. Let's start with the fact that I was expecting this erotic romance novel and got this cute sort of friends to lovers story. I think it was supposed to be enemies to friends to lovers story, but the enemies part was close to non-existent.
Please don't be put off by the next part. I'm going to say what annoyed me about this book first.
I've got to say in the beginning of the story Scarlett kinda got on my nerves. I couldn't understand why she wanted to go to this party so much, especially if she was still feeling a little sick. Then she goes to this party and is just so obnoxiously rude and a little annoying. I understand wanting to save your friends from making horrible decisions in the bedroom department, but if your friends are ok with falling for stupid pick-up lines, and don't care if a guy lies to them, you don't take it out on the guys, you tell your friends! Don't go yelling at guys you don't know, they're trying to get laid what else do you expect from a guy with bad pick-up lines. Instead tell your friends not to fall for the stupid lines and lies. She gets kicked out of the party for being a cock blocker, here is where I'm happy that the main love interest is not one of the guys with the horrible pick-up lines, but instead their incredibly handsome team captain. At the same time, I also have a hard time understanding why she works so hard to get back into a party where she wasn't enjoying herself. I also get upset that her friends don't come out of the party and join her, they just let her walk out with a complete stranger.
Ok now for the good part.
I loved how she and Sterling "Rowdy" got to know each other. They had cute, get to know each other games, and were funny together. Him talking to his mom about her was so cute. The sex scenes did come and they again were great. They had just the perfect amount of raunchy and sweetness. I ended up giggling and laughing and just being so excited about this story and wanting to see how it would end.
Good Job!

The premise of this story was so different from a lot of college/sports romances.
Scarlett finds herself at a well known baseball party house with her friends who are looking to hook up with some baseball players. Rowdy, the Captain and shortstop is the lucky one who gets to escort her out after she interferes with her friends' hookups. Week after week, she goes back trying to gain entry. Everything about this story made me happy. The banter between these two had me laughing, swooning and giving me the chills. The anticipation of this love story kept me on the edge of my seat.
There is something so special about these stories that Sara writes. I can actually feel the butterflies and jitters that come along with crushes and first dates. I get tingly just watching the characters realize that they are attracted to each other and seeing it all unravel. I am always left wanting more and wishing I could experience the story all over again.
P.S. Definitely wouldn't mind having a Rowdy of my own. ;)

Perfect read if ur looking for a romantic comedy type book. The fmc was hilarious. I loved how she wasn't afraid to be herself and always Said what was on her mind no matter the situation.
Them getting to know each other and hanging out a lot before anything happens was amazing. It made them develop a really close bond and made their chemistry that much better. Really enjoyed this one. I absolutely loved how they got along. The book had a couple of funny awkward scenes but overall it was a happy bubbly vibe.
This man was so obsessed with her that he would freeze every week just to be able to spend time with herš.

This surprised me. I thought it was going to be dumb and/or angsty, but it wasnāt. Itās actually pretty darn sweet. Youād never know from the cover. Sterling Wade is my favorite romantic lead Iāve read so far. Even in romance books Iāve loved before Iāve never really felt strong about the love interests? That sounds weird, but its basically true. Maybe it was because I was expecting a douchebag or someone who is too masculine to know his feelings, but he was basically a cinnamon roll. It was refreshing that the plot wasnāt should we be together/what will people think? It was just them falling in love. I loved that. I need to read more of that. His mom is also a historical romance writerāwhich, yes please.

This book was cute but nothing outstanding.
Itās starts with Scarlett going at a party her friends dragged her to. Where she ends up getting kicked out by Rowdy and they hang out on the front porch. She keeps coming back every Friday and they end up talking on the porch every time.
Scarlet and Sterling were super cute together they had really great banter but there was nothing that really stood out with this book.

I love me a good sports romance, and this one was a GOOD one! I mean....so flippinā good yāall. I loved how they slowly fell for each other each week on the porch. Becoming friends and getting to know one another. Swoon. š But Sterling didnāt disappoint on the dirty talk either. All around fab book. Sara slays sports romance!

4 Big Jock CROWNS
Sara Neyās new series starts of with a light sweet romance either incredible chemistry and banter. This slow burn is incredibly romantic and fun.
Rowdy Wade is so utterly perfect. He embodies everything I love in an athletic hero, and he is the perfect blend of cocky and sweet. There really isnāt anything that turned me off about him, and the way he treats Scarlett and cares for her had me swooning.
Scarlett is perfect in her wordy goodness. She calls people on the carpet, is adorably awkward, and I love that she is happy with herself. She fights her insecurities and uncertainties to be with Rowdy, and I love that she isnāt afraid to be herself.
Jock Row is a slow burn, like super slow. The plot is light and fluffy with zero angst and zero to no conflict. It is just a fun read, romantic and filled to the brim with love. It is definitely a series I will keep reading.

Quick low angst read. I enjoyed both H/h and their interactions. I plan to read the next on in this series.

erm well i donāt know how i read this entire thing but i did it. it was one of those weird reads where i didnāt feel compelled to DNF but i truly didnāt care or like at the same time.
there were some cute moments i guess, and i did like how down bad rowdy was for scarlett. iām also forever a sucker for the baby nickname so they kinda got me thereā¦
other than that the writing was mid and the dialogue was abysmal.. iāve read another book by this author that had the same issue with the borderline misogynistic writing, so idk why i thought this one would be any different. safe to say i wonāt be reading anymore of her books. ig read this is you arenāt bothered by the use of the word āfemaleā, the not like other girls trope, and general weird toxic dude bro mentality that was displayed at timesā¦
besides the fact that i question how this could be written by a woman (perhaps some weird attempt at humor..?) the pacing was strange. it was all very instalovey. i was absolutely bamboozled when rowdy was being an asshole and literally kicking scarlett out of a party yet she was still there talking about how sexy and funny he is.. girl get a grip!! pretty quickly after he got better and stopped being such an asshole, but still.. weird reaction to have to a man whoās being such a dick.
speaking of- the friends who dragged scarlett to these parties werenāt mentioned a single time after the first few weekends.. like they were shitty friends to begin with by not standing up for scarlett when ben was being a mega douche but then after that they just vanished. this is just a part of the bigger issue which was that neither of these characters had any character

Cannot stand Scarlett. She blew my mind. Don't stop at the house, kick her out of the book.
