Cuter the second time around. Again, great for a pallet cleanser in-between super heavy books
Oof. The relationship started out strong and was super cute. And then the night things progressed past friendship for them the story just went way downhill from there for me. Some other aspects of the writing/narrative also bugged me but that could be more of a personal thing.
if a man called me dumple puss i would kill myself
This was a slow burn, my friends.. but I adored the build up.. do not misunderstand me, this book was steamy, but sweet.
ZERO ANGST READ!! Plenty of moments where I was not quite laughing out loud, but I enjoyed the lightheartedness of this book!!

Jock Row by author Sara Ney is a fun, low stakes, low angst college romcom. Scarlet and Rowdy meet at a party at the baseball house. She's unintentionally jock-blocking his friends, so he escorts her out of the house. The two end up spending a good deal of time together on the porch, in the cold. Week after week, Scarlet returns to the baseball house with her friends, and Rowdy is there waiting for her every time. With no third act breakup (yay!) and not a lot of angst, this one was a quick, easy read.
Quick read for a matching cover task. Certainly not for pleasure...
Such a sweet and funny love story! I liked that there was no angst or drama, just them, getting to know each other, falling in love with each other.
What an incredibly sweet story about becoming friends and then lovers! First love at its absolute finest!
I just love how these two meet! Totally unconventional and original. Sterling, or his baseball name Rowdy, has to kick Scarlett out of a party at the baseball house. They end up talking on the front porch and get to know each other week after week. Their relationship progresses so naturally from their talks to the games they play. Rowdy is so sweet and romantic! Watching him fall so hard and fast for Scarlett was everything! She owns who she is and falls just as hard and fast as Rowdy. I fell fast for these two as well.
I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read more in the series!
