What an unexpected treat Jock Row was! I had some reservations based on the blurb, but Sara Ney knocked my socks off with this college rom-com.
Shout out to my girl Scarlett, who could not care less what other people think of her. Go ahead and proudly wear that ugly sweater and ski cap to a frat party. You. Do. You. Scarlett is smart and kind, and I loved her so hard. You might expect for the captain of the college’s baseball team to be an egotistical womanizer, but Rowdy is unassuming and super intelligent. He appreciates substance over beauty, and Rowdy manages to be charming even when he’s trying to be the opposite.
I could not have asked for a better meet cute. The setup itself is fun, but the way in which Sara Ney adds layer upon hilarious layer to their initial interaction is perfection. Verbal sparring is my catnip, and with Scarlett’s stubbornness and dry wit and Rowdy’s playful sarcasm, these two have mastered the art. I enjoyed the pacing and the way their relationship grows each time they meet.
I smiled, laughed, and swooned my way through this highly entertaining story. It was just what the doctor ordered to lift my spirits. Jock Row is book one in the Jock Hard series. I hope the next book is just as good.

This was the most ADORABLE, CHEESY, SWEET, and FUN thing ever!!! I loved every second! I read this in under 24 hours because I couldn’t put it down! I loved the idea of each chapter taking place on a Friday on the porch and just watching them fall in love. There was no drama, it was just about these two people just falling love and navigating their relationship, and it was STEAMY!! And you guys, STERLING!! I love him so much, he’s the sweetest guy ever.
I can’t believe I’ve never picked up a Sara Ney book before, I’m so excited to dive into the rest of this series and all of her books!

Loved it! Omg what a sweet, chemistry filled, drama free college sportsball romance. I just loved Sterling to death. When he started falling for Scarlett and was giddy to see her, I was giddy for him. I was all happy-clappy for these two throughout the whole book! I’d totally reread this one again.

Ney can write the mind of a college boy to perfection! Rowdy was a sweet jock who loved his momma. Scarlett was the perfect girl for him in the essence she wanted nothing to do with his sport, she just wanted to be his friend. I seriously want to play never have I ever now with a guy. A great friends to couple story.

Laugh out loud funny!
I loved the games. Loved the banter. Loved the slow burn. This is how romance is done. I loved Sterling and Scarlett. I want more of them.
I want his baseball season at school, I want him meeting her parents, I want his draft day. I just want more.

This was so cute! My cheeks literally hurt from smiling this hard. I loved that Rowdy was pining after Scarlett as much as she was pining after him. I was expecting him to be the regular cliché rude jock but was pleasantly surprised by his sweet character.
I would have like to see more of other characters though. You basically only saw the two main character. Every other character felt more like a background character then a minor character. We didn’t get to see any of Rowdy’s or Scarlett’s close friends, only teammates and old friends/acquaintances. Scarlett talked a bit about her family but even when she was staying with them over break we never got to see them.

I loved Rowdy Wade! He was so sweet compared to the Douchebags I'm used to. It was definitely a slow burn romance. I loved the banter between Rowdy and Scarlett. They were so meant to be! Interested to see more of these Jocks!

A very cute read! Scarlett (cock blocker) gets kicked out of the baseball house during a party by the baseball captain, Rowdy. Rowdy sends her to the porch and doesn’t let her back in. They got to know each other from then on. I loved the instant connection between them and how different they were. The never have I ever games and would you rathers, ugh this was so fun.

“This is why I keep coming back – this moment right here. The intense way he’s watching me right now, like I’m pretty and interesting, even in these ridiculous clothes. The way his deep voice vibrates in my chest and awakens those damn butterflies every time he speaks.”
I went into this book with the lowest expectations that a girl could have. Now that I'm done and wiping my eyes while I'm typing this review, I can eat my words. I didn’t expect the relationship between Scarlett and Sterling to take hold of my feelings and spit them out.
I won’t lie, I was about to DNF this book so quick but I stuck with it. The dudes who wanted to throw Scarlett out of the party for cockblocking (I hate that damn word) pissed me off so damn much. Like who TF did they think they were?! This started off as a typical New Adult book. We had shitty friends and very asshole guys. I was honestly making myself try to get through the college cliché bullshit. Honestly, even though her so called friends knew that Scarlett would most likely have to stay outside, they didn’t care. As long as they got to flirt and maybe snag an athlete.
Once Sterling started talking to Scarlett on the porch, I was all in. The banter and sexual tension was on for the books. Friday after Friday, she came back and they would have the funniest conversations. These two got to know each other, even if the situation it was done in was completely morbid.
Scarlett was an absolute pleasure to read about. This girl was too loyal to friends who’d rather chase athletes than stand with her. She came off very down to earth and was easy to love.
Sterling. If you don’t swoon over Sterling, then we can’t be friends. This guy was too pure for words. He was sweet and he didn’t beat around the bush and about what he wanted.
“I don’t want to be just hanging out, remember? Long haul?” I clarify.
I want to date you – just so we’re clear.”
This guy was like a breath of fresh air. He’s not what you usually get with New Adult. A college athlete who wants to actually have a girlfriend and isn’t afraid to show her he cares. The way he adored her and didn’t care that he was laying all his feelings out on the table made my heart clench.
These two made me laugh, sob, and smile so hard. If you can get past the beginning and love a good sweet, no drama romance, then pick this one up! I can’t wait to read book two in the series. *off to download it to my kindle!*
