This was okay. It was a very sweet light read. It got boring quickly as nothing really interesting happened. I found the characters a little immature and annoying and the dialog was just awkward at times. I could barely get through the first party scene and seriously debated if this book was going to break my long streak of never dnf’ing. The writing style also just wasn’t my thing. There were random “haha”s in the internal monologues and the texting was just cringy. Serious question, do people actually put asterisks in their texting? Overall, it all felt too young for me to enjoy.

Super cute. I really liked these characters and the start of a new series.

This slow burning romance is absolutely delightful! Sara Ney writes the heck out of sports romance, and her new series promises to be a goodie. The absence of drama drama drama is refreshing!
This fun, hilarious, and steamy story doesn’t need crazy drama because Scarlett and Rowdy are so damn adorable and perfect for each other. I loved every minute of their friends to lovers journey. It’s a well written love story heavy on the flirty banter, sweet moments, and heart pounding chemistry of attraction. I can’t wait for book two!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved Jock Row. Though, I suppose I have to try since I'm writing a review, huh? :) I've been a big fan of everything I've read (so far) of Sara's, so I've been eagerly anticipating her new Jock Hard series since reading the prequel novella Switch Hitter a few months ago. I'm always on the lookout for my next favorite new adult sports romance series and this one could wind up being one of them.
I'll admit I was a little skeptical of "Rowdy" at first. While he wasn't as much of a jerk as the other guys on the team, I definitely side-eyed him in the beginning. But I think that basically only lasted for the duration of the first night, when he kicked Scarlett out of the house. It didn't take me all that long to realize he was a special kind of guy. I really liked Scarlett right from the start. I admire her lady balls in going back to the house again and again after she was kicked out initially. I'm damn sure I wouldn't have had the nerve to do it. But, I'm also really glad she did because Rowdy was worth it. And they were freaking adorable together. Granted, they got off to a rough start, but the transition to friendship and the s l o w burn that came with it made me so happy.
I couldn't get enough of Scarlett and Rowdy. I couldn't even read the book as quickly as I wanted to because I HAD TO savor it (some, anyhow). Their banter and that delicious slow burn and build up, the swoons, the ridiculous adorableness with Rowdy and his family. Every little bit of it was perfection. Oh, and it did get delightfully hot and sexy before it was all said and done, too. Rowdy had a dirty mouth and I was absolutely there for it. Jock Row gave me all the cheesy grins and heart eyes and it's absolutely going in my "reread this often" pile. I can't wait to see whose story we get next!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I'm an athlete—a champion. I play hard and jock harder, and these little games I've started with her? I'm playing to win.
"Sometimes I don't know what to say around her anymore, or where to put my hands—like, I just want to hug her all the time and I don't give a shit that we haven't had sex yet." Long pause. "Okay that's a lie, I totally give a shit that we haven't had sex, but I don't want to freak her out. She's so smart, Mom."
I look at him. I see him. I love him.

I dropped the book I was reading when this one came out and I have no regrets.
I LOVED Scarlett and Rowdy and I can honestly say that I wanted to cry when it ended because I loved these two so freaking much. This book is truly a love story and it wasn't bogged down by unnecessary drama, it about two people who figured out what they wanted and it was each other.
I'm not kidding when I say I wanted more Scarlett and Rowdy. They were hilarious, snarky and sweet and I cannot forget the slow burn of their relationship.
Jock Row hit all of the right notes with me!

Omg I loved Rowdy and Scarlett. I don’t think I have ever read a more true romantic story . This book was just all about the two falling in love . There were a bunch of laughs along the way though .
Scarlett is the cock blocker or so she is called and she thinks Rowdy is just your typical jock. They are both wrong about each other . This book was such a feel good story . One I loved from the first page.

I remember reading my first Ney book and thinking “This chick knows how to write a damn book! I’m gonna stalk her forever now!” Well.... each new book she writes just cements the fact that their is no way she will ever be able to rid herself of me lol.
Scarlett and Sterling are so perfectly written. I want to not only bang Sterling (sorry to my hubby but book boyfriends are H.O.T), but I also want to be Scarlett’s bestie.
The anticipation leading up to all of the sexiest moments killed me, yet brought me excitement all at the same time. It was a wild rollercoaster of sexiness and I want to ride it again and again.
My favorite type of love story is one where they love their best friend. This one was beautiful. Realizing your partner is your best friend is the best kind of love their is and Ney wrote this progression beautifully.
Now I just need the next one in this series... no big deal... but give it to me now before I have to result to sending you a glitter package Ney. Lol, but seriously...
