I love Whoopi Goldberg's sense of humor. This book is not so much a humorous book as it is a self-help book for the person who is struggling with relationships, Whoopi style. Whoopi has opinions and she shares them with you. You may or may not agree with the details, but the overall theme is that you have to take care of you first and be yourself before you can be in a relationship. Be honest and open from the start and never compromise.

I would have liked to see more of her humor coming through. It was still fun to listen to her read (I listened to the audio book) but overall it wasn't a book/message I thought I needed to hear, but it may be good for people that need a new outlook on their own relationships.

Overall, this is a good read. Whoopi has a number of valid points mixed in with humor. I enjoyed it. As an audio, her delivery was excellent, as expected.

This book is for single people who are comfortable in thier singleness and those who are in between relationships. Auntie makes it very clear that she is very comfortable in her singleness and is a big fan of booty calls which she also calls "hit and runs" 😄. If you are someone who romanticizes relationships based on social media and romance movies, you are not gonna like what auntie says in the first 3 to 4 chapters. If you make it pass those chapters, I believe you will appreciate the advice. In my opinion, the advice she gives is solid, funny and very true.

This book was fun and made good sense. I didn't read it for the self help purposes, so I wasn't disappointed about not finding anything new or helpful for me in the book. But I did enjoy the writing style and anecdotes.

Maybe it’s a 3 or 3.5 stars because I liked it. But I’ll give it four. It’s Whoopi telling it as she sees it. You don’t have to agree but I respect her sharing. There’s laughs, room to think for yourself, wisdom, and advice to take or leave. The audiobook is available though the two libraries I have access to and it is a nice touch as you get to hear it in her voice. Short, quick, and entertaining read if you are in the mood for thinking about real life/love.
