This was a delightful and sexy read. I really liked Aaron and Marceline. There was a lot of pining from both of them. Marceline had a lot of fears about a relationship that Aaron was very understanding of. I thought the two of them matched together very well.

Ugh nothing new I read this week works so I've been rereading old stuff.

The epilogue slayed me.

There are many quick and dirty scenes (it takes a while for this couple to make it to a bedroom but visits to an alley brick wall and school closet will tide you over) that make this novella heavy on the steamy side. Marcy and Aaron's characters aren't deeply delved into, this is a novella after all, but they are both likable characters. Their scenes are sexy but not too erotic that you would feel awkward reading them in public. The author's writing and tone make this a flirty, fun, and spicy read with an epilogue full of sappy goodness to tick all the boxes of a romance reader looking for a swift read.

This was a very short and spicy novella from Katee Robert. Marceline Bellini gave up most of her social life so she could give all of her attention to raising her daughter. After she finds herself at an engagement party, her friends have convinced her to indulge a little and loosen up for the night. Several shots later she finds herself in an alley with her best friend's older brother. Is this a one-night stand, or the beginning of something wonderful?
This was not my favorite story from Katee Robert. I felt like it was too short and too rushed for me to really get invested in the characters. I enjoyed being able to see a single mom loosen up and find herself for the night, but that is all I really enjoyed in the story.
I still enjoy Katee Robert and will definitely read more in the future!
