Dearest Josephine is a breathtaking masterpiece. Caroline George takes readers on an unforgettable journey about love.
Excuse me while I run around about how excellent this book was. *excuses self.*
I laughed, I cried, I even felt for all the characters, and when the final page ended...I was sad.
This book was amazing, the characters were fleshed out, they had ups and downs and the plot was *chefs kiss* I read it in one sitting and was really sad when I finished it.
(Btw, Oliver is mine now, thank you.)
CW: *fp* I'll edit it when I go look them up in the book (it was really really clean btw)

well darn.
this was a good 3.75 stars, but i did enjoy reading it.
THAT ENDING - honestly, i couldn’t have asked for a better ending. it was sweet and satisfying and the best kind of realistic.
i still don’t get how the storyline was possible. maybe i’m just meant to trust in the magic, but….

Honestly this shit was so cute.
I loved the multi layered story telling aspect of using text messages, emails, novels, and more.
Such a cute an adorable novel

A poorly written, silly story with annoying characters. A waste of time.

Although I love epistolary novels and thought the structure of this one was unique, I was disappointed in the outcome. It looked like it was building to something that would bring the two main characters together despite the 200 years separating them, but it never did which was a let down. In fact, there was no explanation as to why this guy from the 1820s met and fell for a girl with the same exact name as the girl from the 2020s, with the same features and personality. Huh? Ultimately, this story is all about accepting the life and love in front of you instead of pining for what can't be and which might not even be what you would ultimately want. That being said, I loved the dust jacket.
