I really enjoyed reading this. It's been quite a while since a book made me laugh out loud. I'll definitely be continuing with the rest of the series.

This book was pretty good, in my opinion. I liked the characters and the plot moved at a steady pace. I especially liked the character Tanith Low because she had pretty cool powers. My only complaint was that parts of the book sounded similar to other books I have read. It was just sort of predictable and familiar. This is probably because I read a ton of fantasy books. I found the witty banter between Skulduggery and Stephanie funny, but a smiling type of funny, not a laugh out loud until you get weird looks from the people around you type of funny. I guess I thought this book was going to be funnier than it was. Besides these two things, I enjoyed reading Skulduggery Pleasant, just not as much as I had anticipated. All in all, I give this book 3 1/2 stars.

This might be mainly the nostalgia talking because I read these when they came out, but phase one really had this incredible sense of adventure and the perfect mix of action, humor and seriousness that made for such an engaging read. I miss these characters as they used to be in the early books 🥲

Charming romp through a new magical world. I love Stephanie as a brave and intelligent protag, and Skullduggery as a witty and caring mentor. Excellent audio book.

Wow, what a time to revisit SP after a decade, determined to plot out the core 9.

I was grateful to be back in the beautiful world that Landy has delicately crafted for us. Valkyrie, every teenagers wish to be, SP, every teenagers idealised mentor.

I loved this book! It left me itching for more. At first I was worried that there was not a second, but nevermind! When I first saw the cover, I thought that I wasn't goingot like it, because it loked funky. I was very wrong. Hugely recomended!

I enjoyed it a lot and I'm looking forward to reading its continuation! It's a pity that I never discovered it as a tween. (Also, Derek Landry absolutely won me over with the way he introduced himself. He seems like such a cool dude.)

So, so good. clever and witty with excellent characters. I don't know what took me so long to read this!
