TRIGGER WARNING!  Be warned that there are themes of self harm and hinted sexual abuse. I just wanted to throw that here in case anyone wanted to know.

I really enjoyed Release Me by J. Kenner! The characters especially the MC Nikki was a strong, flawed and funny. I couldn't help but just root for her! Damien Stark is a bit intense and multi dimensional character that I cant wait to read more on. I hope book 2 will explain more about why everyone has a bone to pick with him and I hope I find out whats under that calm exterior he exudes.  The other characters were great as well!

The sex scenes were a bit short but the spice was 🔥 🔥. I cant wait to read book 2!

The characters are mostly annoying and do things that seemingly make no sense. It’s incredibly unhealthy behaviors from both characters. 

It isn’t this books fault but I’m sick of the trope where the mid 20s woman is so super innocent (in modern stories) and the man gets to teach her everything. 

There was at least one sex scene that I’m not entirely sure is plausible from a physical standpoint involving a vibrating egg.
