Although it’s a middle-grade graphic novel, it handles complex emotions and explores themes of grief and loss with so much grace. Yee’s artwork is both whimsical, vibrant, and expressive, capturing the depth of feeling in a brilliant swirl of colour. The illustrations were so beautiful.
This book wraps you in a warm hug after hurt feelings and doesn’t let go.

Summary really does not capture this book. Rei’s imagery is amazing as always. Loved the little critters scattered around the pages. The summary implies that growing up is bad but I like the way it shows that’s it’s both and just part of life
Super cute story about growing up, perfect for spooky season. Loved the artwork so much.
