Oh my heart! This sweet, all ages comic is a tender ode to growing up, making friends, and never losing your belief in magic. A truly precious coming-of-age tale, I look forward to seeing more of Yee’s work in the future! Highly recommend for fans of The Tea Dragon Society, Anya’s Ghost, and Studio Ghibli.

This book was really sweet! It's not 100% what I expected from it, but that's ok—I think it was better the way it is than what I thought it would be. The art style is perfect for a children's graphic novel, but despite it being that—a children's book—there were some really deep messages that touched my heart. I think Reimena Yee really understood the power of ghosts, and what make them so fascinating for people: they never move on. Alexa's story was a very well-picked parallel to Lora's; both of them are facing the challenge of growing older, but it's ultimately a good thing. It's a really comforting and touching book, and I'm really glad I stumbled upon it! I would definitely recommend it if you're feeling a little down and uncertain about the future—this and a hot cup of tea is exactly what you need. <3

It's like the author reached into the year 2001, pulled me out, and planted me into this book. I wish my imaginary ghost friend from middle school was real. Maybe I would have adjusted better to growing up! Anyway, this book is a joy.
