A beautiful and heartfelt story relatable at any age. I love the artist’s style, the colors, scenery, and little details really make the story immersive! Just the loveliest little graphic novel.

This was a cute coming of age comic
great art work

I would recommend to any middle schooler
emotional hopeful fast-paced

Lora is still playing pretend and her friends are out growing that game.  She meets Alexa, an imaginary friend/ghost.  The story's theme is about being yourself, holding on to the magic of childhood.  Graphics good, story concept good.  A middle grade graphic but the way it is written I don't think my middle grade self would have appreciated it as I was going through that awkward child to "adult" phase - my adult self does.  Overall, a good read.

This was a beautiful read, both based on its content and on the vibrant, action-packed panels throughout. I loved the art style from the moment I picked up the book and to be honest this was a judge-a-book-by-its-cover situation that had a very satisfactory result. The story is filled with magic, specifically the magic of childhood and youth and the fear that growing up means that you will lose it or some part of yourself. The story follows Lora as she rediscovers her imaginary friend, a ghost named Alexa who cannot truly recall her former life, just at the perfect time, on the cusp of childhood transitioning into the teenage years and as everyone around her seems content to move on and hurry to grow up. It's a moving story and one I thoroughly enjoyed! It is one that can be appreciated at any age as there is a resonance in oneself, reflecting on your own childhood and experiences with getting older.

I loved this book. Don't let the tween rating turn you away. I have learned I like a good graphic novel, but this one is a 5⭐️ story. It captures the fear and uncertainty of growing up, being different and also the beauty in aging.
