OMG! I cannot wait to share this piece of magic! Especially the wonderful included look into the author's creative and publication process.

Such a fun read for every big kid who grow up loving Halloween and witches.

All around lovely illustrations and an encouraging story! It felt a touch weak and rambling at the beginning, but by the end the plot got pulled together very nicely. The parallels of Lora and Alexa grappling in their own ways with what growing up means to them and how to grow without abandoning parts of yourself were beautifully and tenderly done- I think many readers will be able to relate!

[5 stars]

I needed this book three years ago, and I think I still needed it now. Growing up is so daunting… I still think back to when I was a kid, I was like Lora, full of imagination and pretend-playing to my heart’s desire. I had so much fun with just myself.

But then as you get older, you get more responsibilities and you try to hold on to that carefree past and you just can’t anymore.

I was expecting a fun ghost adventure in this book and what I got was a huge slap in a face (in the best way). It addresses how you can grow up and keep that childhood magic with you forever. How if you be yourself, you’ll find friends who support and and care about you. And most importantly, you lose people along the way. You may lose them through a rough patch but they come back later, or they’re gone forever.

I was literally sobbing.

This is such a good graphic novel and the art style is so unique… I’m just in love. Please read this ASAP!!

Happy reading!!!

I wish I would have read this in October. Literally started it right after the spooky season. It’s a great Halloween read and will definitely get you in the season. I loved most of the art style. I loved the characters. I loved the concept. I kinda wanted a little more from it. It would have been nice if it was a little

I feel like the dedication says it all for this one - "To every child - and young adult - who is afraid of growing up."

This graphic novel offers beautiful art work and a fun, heartfelt, spoopy story that reminds us all to embrace our sense imagination at every age and that friendship comes in many forms.
