Adorable art style with a sweet but sad story. I loved finding the connection to Alexa's past in Diana and just everything. Keeping this in my back pocket for a few years from now so I can suggest it to my oldest.

This middle grade graphic novel is about a 12-year-old girl who is struggling to work out how she fits in with her friends who all of a sudden seem much more grown up. She’s still keen on imaginative play and loves reading about other-worldly things. She decides to hold a seance tea party and accidentally summons the ghost of a 14-year old girl. They become friends and help each other to navigate some big transitions. A little too fast-paced for me but I think it would work well for its target demographic.

I picked it up on a whim because I'm also a Lora who loves Halloween, and this was delightful! The art is so whimsical and the story tugs at your heartstrings.
