Fascinating, but frustrating at many points. The conversations included here were never intended for this format. What’s recorded here is an edited version of dialog captured in true fly in the wall fashion - much of which doesn’t have film footage to go along with it since there’s much more audio than video of these sessions available. So while what’s recorded here is imperfect, it’s really the only way that most Beatles fans would really want to experience the footage that couldn’t be shown in Peter Jackson’s excellent documentary. I want to know what those conversations were, but I don’t really want to listen to hours and hours of audio - much of which is just noodling and rough jamming to get to the interesting nuggets. They’re captured here along with excellent photographs from the sessions, so I’d imagine most serious fans will be pretty happy with this.

Accompaniment to the DVD Get Back series by Peter Jackson.
I liked looking at the pictures. I didn't read all the dialog, as I watched part of the DVD series, and it was basically a documentary of the making of Get Back. After an hour, I got the gist. I didn't need to see 8 hours of it.
I did enjoy seeing pictures of the Fab Four.

I'm sure the Beatles, when they were writing and recording the songs that would comprise "Let It Be," didn't realize they were also writing a book! And of course they really weren't. This is a coffee table book to accompany Peter Jackson's "Get Back" miniseries. Still, lots of great pictures and clever repartee by the "Fab Four". More of a collector's item than a book you sit down and read. Still, it IS the Beatles...

This book has amazing photos and more in depth conversations than you get from simply watching Get Back. Definitely a valuable companion to the new movie.
