An interesting premise and the really great art are what will bring me back for the second volume. The story-telling is smoothly consistent throughout, but this hasn't really given me enough hints about where it's going to sell me on committing for the long-haul - I will withhold final judgement until after Volume Two when I get around to it. As it stands, this was really more 3.5 stars, but interesting enough that I rounded up to 4.
This graphic novel was good.
I liked Lucifer. She was so badass. (And let's be real, she was attractive as hell. Pun not intended.) Also, the Morrigan! I mean, she has different personalities and what's not to like about that? And I also loved the diversity of characters. We have Minerva who was in the body of a 12 year old! Wish I saw more of her though.
The story itself was kind of confusing at times, but I do understand that this volume is just an introduction to the world. I do love the illustrations, though! They were so good.
I do hope that the next volume will have more progress in terms of the story, and also include introductions of the other gods since in this volume we only got to know some.

This feels like a worse version of Ellis' Freakangles, which I would definitely recommend in place of this run. The plot and the pacing are all over the place and it's in a hurry to get to nowhere basically.
If Freakangles can introduce twelve different main characters, make them all interesting and keep the storytelling at float WHILE BEING A WEBCOMIC then this series had no excuse. Sorry, but I'm not hooked.
And yes, you should definitely read Freakangles.

It's been awhile since I last read a comic book. I think I last read one in the summer, so picking up this beaut was just perfect. I loved this comic! The graphics were amazing. They are on the same scale as Saga. I really enjoyed the plot aswell, even though it didn't contain any action or an intergalatic war (yes, i am comparing it with Saga but mostly because I found it just as good), it had enough suspense and an interesting plot to follow.
I reccomend this to everyone!

More like 3.5 stars. Great artwork, cool premise, very diverse cast of characters, but somewhat hard to follow at times.

This didn't blow me away but I am really intrigued and keen to see where the second volume goes. The characters are damn interesting.
Also. The art is gorgeous. If you couldn't guess from the cover.
