Reread September 2022 I have no idea what I was thinking rating this 3 1/2 stars last time around. I definitely didn’t understand my opinion of their being questionable consent I didn’t feel that this time around. Maybe I was paying more attention this time? Either way I listened to the audio book both times for this series. It is a great M/M Gay for you trope. If that isn’t your thing this book isn’t for you. I absolutely love these men, and this book is sexy AF

I’ve got really mixed feelings on this. Knowing that this book is written by a woman for women, and is purely for the enjoyment of a hot MM romance helped with my star rating.
First there are a few moments of questionable consent. Second I couldn’t tell if I was reading about a couple of 13 year old girls or grown ass men. I was really confused over both of their insane amount of jealousy. I felt like both of their personalities were a bit all over the place, and I felt that Tate forgave Logan way to easily, for some really screwed up things.
Overall this has a whole lot of super hot scenes...
However, this book is incredibly unrealistic. Please keep in mind this isn’t reality. This is a kinky read if you want to read about a straight man going gay. This isn’t a realistic book about a healthy MM relationship.
I enjoyed it for what it was, but it was a little to all over the place for me to give it any higher of a rating.

Really just no substance. Usually, my ratings kind of fit the general consensus made by most fellow readers but I'm afraid I just can't bring myself to like this. And trust me, I have tried. As a somewhat seasoned reader of M/M romance, this is very lacking.
My biggest red flag with this book from the beginning was the treatment of women. While understandable when considering the author's effort to establish a character I just couldn't get behind how the main MC treated women as literal objects to get off on at the beginning. Next came the MCs literal fixation on a man who was just doing his job. There is not a thin line between flirting and harassing yet somehow our MC still managed to cross it? These are just a few of the many qualms I had with this book.
I honestly just feel that this book lacked a lot of nuance and subtlety. Like I didn't need to hear how much MC 1 wanted to shove his **** down MC 2s throat 24/7. Once was enough. And I'm pretty sure MC 2 feels the same way. I found myself cringing an ungodly amount in the first half and usually I don't bat an eyelid.
Overall I just got the impression that this book was more intended to excite people rather than actually provide a romantic story with genuine substance, it felt more like Porn with Bad Plot rather than Good Plot with Porn. Which is cool if that's what you're into but the M/M genre has tons more to offer.

3.5 stars, rounded up, simply based on how the author drew me in so well, after turning me so totally off for the first quarter of the book.
I have to admit, my rating really surprises me. It took me forever to really get into this book. In the beginning, I HATED Logan. I hated his cocky attitude, I hated that the author chose to stick an M/F sex scene into the prologue, and I hated that Logan didn't seem to take no for an answer. But once I finally forced myself to sit down and keep reading it, I enjoyed the heck out of it. Logan and Tate were one hot couple, and once they were both in, they were really in.
Word to the wise to M/F authors breaking into M/M for the first time: MOST hardcore M/M readers really don't want to see a graphic sex scene between one of the male leads and a female, especially in the very first chapter (or in this case, the prologue) of the book. I started this book over a year ago, got to that scene, was totally turned off, and put it aside. If we wanted to read graphic M/F scenes, we'd be reading M/F romance, not M/M. Just putting that out there.
Logan was an ass. He was arrogant and cocky and a wise ass, and he made no apologies for who he was. He fucked who he wanted, when he wanted, male, female, he didn't give a shit. One thing he didn't do, was relationships.
Tate is totally straight. Never even considered a man in that way. He's in the middle of a divorce, working a new job as a bartender, when he meets Logan. Logan takes one look at Tate and wants him, and for some reason, Tate wants him back.
There was a lot of waffling back and forth on Tate's part, but that was understandable. I wish we had gotten to know more about these characters outside of the bedroom, the office, or the bar where Tate works. We aren't really told WHY Tate's marriage ended (his wife being a bitch was probably a big part of it), we aren't really told anything about his family life, other than that they would NOT be ok with him being with a guy. We really don't learn anything more about Tate, and only a bit more about Logan. I'm hoping that is remedied in book 2, which, fuck me sideways, I think I'll be starting soon.

I've never read anything like this book before. It came up on my amazon as a free book - and I had been researching about bisexual characters for a story I am writing. I came here to read the reviews and figured hey why not, it might give me some insight.
Ignoring the fact that the two MCs are having sex in every single chapter, I found both characters to be extremely lovable. Ella Frank truly did her research, because they feel so real and vulnerable and honest. The writing style is so fluid and reading it was effortless. This was the kind of book that I truly couldn't put down, I didn't want to, I just wanted to know if they end up together.
I've been focused on writing rather than reading, and every time I open a book to read, I get easily distracted and put it down. I am glad I found this because it's gotten me out of a reading slump. I will continue to read the rest of the series. I will also look into reading the exquisite series by Ella Frank, simply because of her wonderful writing style.
My only pet peeve when reading is repetition, and there's a bit of that in this book, where the main characters think, and say, Holy shit and Fuck like every other page. I get it, that's how they talk and think but don't make them keep saying it over and over, it's annoying.

Reading it for the 2nd time, 6 years later! This time the audiobook version. This is still hot. This was probably my first or one of my first MM books, and it made me fall in love with the genre. Well, I've been in a reading slump and this is definitely getting me out it. I love how intense Logan and Tate are. I love how they feel about each other.

Jeez.. That was definitely a whole lot of sex.
This book started out quite alright. Nothing too spectacular, but it was fine.
Tate and Logan definitely had a 'lust at first sight' thing going on, which isn't my favourite, but the chase was entertaining enough.
However, once Tate gave in to Logan, it all went incredibly downhill. They started to have sex, which in their case meant that they started to only have sex. Everything was about sex in their relationship and I was so bored with it.
Not to mention, the sex scenes were so bland yet soooooo dragged out. These scenes went on forever and it drove me mad, and not in a good way.
None of these characters are very well-developed or interesting, but their initial chemistry was good enough for this novel to have the potential to be somewhat enjoyable. The sex just ruined it. It took over the entire plot and makes this book a failure. Sex in books is perfectly fine, it can even add a lot to some relationships, but there needs to be a foundation. There wasn't one here and it's just a no from me. It's all so freaking repetitive.
