I am not sure how I feel about Patterson yet. Second book of his I read and in many ways it is just not satisfying. I'll give him a few more chances.

I love this series and this was an amazing addition to it. It revolves around a standalone case, but contains a character from the past in a way we've never seen him before. It's nice to see a continuation of the story from past novels, and also to have the signature explosive ending that Patterson delivers time and time again. A thoroughly good read.

Finally got caught up on the Alex Cross series. I really like most of James Patterson's work but Alex Cross is definitely my favorite. Can't wait for #18 to come out at the end of the year.

4! I was so excited for Kyle Craig's return...I don't like to spoil, therefore I won't. The ending was a bit of a let down for me...though the teaser at the end has me intrigued! I have a few questions about the sniper case in this story, does anyone else? Anyone else disappointed?

This was an action-packed, thrilling, suspenseful page-turner. My one complaint was that it seemed Patterson was at times chasing too many different storylines, such as with the Numbers Killer. Although it does eventually all tie in together, I was hoping this case would’ve served a different purpose with maybe more of a wow-factor. For example, it would’ve been fascinating for Kyle to have been pulling the strings behind the Numbers Killer all along, instead of just taking advantage of the killer to taunt Alex. Although this book is part of a series, I never felt lost or confused. It was my first James Patterson novel, and it definitely made me want to read more of the Alex Cross series. This book is great for anyone who may already be a fan of the series or who loves action and suspense.
