Super quick, light and comfortable read with a spice rating of 3.5.

Frannie's character development was done well. Mack lived up and some what exceeded the expectations of a man written by a woman.

And I loved the epi-prologue.

This is the story of Mack (a father of three girls) and Frannie (the daughter of Mack’s boss). First I have to admit that I loved this story because of Mack’s relationship with his daughters. I loved how he was always putting them first and in the same time he was opened about struggling being a single father. It felt real, he wasn’t perfect and he was opened about that. Frannie on the other hand was a little too understanding. I mean, ieah, she loved the girls, she loved Mack, but I wanted her to be stronger and firm when it came to what she wants.
Overall I liked this book, they were cute together and it was funny how they tried to have a secret relationship. And in the end Frannie finally got some bones and didn’t backed up when it came to her needs. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ stars for this story, mostly for those three little girls.

This was cute. A little too insta-love for me but I can get past it for a single dad who has a swear jar and really just wants the best for his girls. The kids really sold the story and now I need to find out if the couple from the coffee shop is a couple from a different book because Miles was hilarious.

This was my first Melanie Harlowe book (as far as I can remember) and I had great time reading it!

The opening for this book was GOLD! I knew I’d like the story just because of that first chapter of how Mack talked about his single-dad life. It was funny and light, and just all in all an enjoyable time.

I loved Frannie’s sisters and the kids — I think their characters really kept my interest in this book.

The pacing was okay, I didn’t mind the insta-love that much. In my book it qualifies as insta-love even if the characters have been secretly interested with each other for some time before they even got together.

Frannie is too good to be true, she was loving and very understanding; I wish she had “negative” (don’t really know what to call it) emotions too especially during the upsetting scenes (apart from just crying, that is). I think that would’ve made me connect to her more, make her more human rather than just a character in a book.

Anyway, I’ve never been the best at reviews but I try. I recommend this book, it’s quick and entertaining.

for me

This book was soooo good. It was way better than the “first book” with Ryan. This book was so entertaining i couldn’t put it down. I would recommend this book. It was so cute and I just loved the relationship with the MC and the kids. 4/5!
