I enjoyed it towards the end. However the beginning and middle is pretty boring to get through. But the middle-end is pretty exciting to read. I definitely enjoyed it overall.

Started off slow, got more interesting in the middle and really took off at the end. The end was the best part. Story could have been stronger if that would have happened sooner

I thought this was going to be right up my alley, but despite the genuinely intriguing Persian fairy tale premise of the book I just could not get into it. The characters felt lifeless and I couldn’t bring myself to care about what happened to them no matter how objectively exciting the action became. Maybe I should have stuck it out longer but 40% was as much as I could do.

I ended up loving this book. I am surprised the author managed to fit so much in 330 pages. I still wish it were longer because I would have like to see more of the character relationships. However, this was a constantly moving plot and I couldn't put it down. I loved that I never knew who to trust, including the MC. It kept me on my toes. I found some of the plot predictable but never the characters.
