Like other Dan Brown thrillers, lots of great action, supported by interesting takes on actual historical events. A worthy addition to the Dan Brown collection.

Tiba-tiba inget kayaknya aku sempet pingin ngereview buku ini, tapi akhirnya nggak jadi gara-gara bukunya udah keburu dibalikin juga. Kesan-kesan yang masih keinget:

1. Ceritanya seru pas pertama kali baca. Tapi pas coba dibaca ulang dari awal (gara-gara sempet berhenti dan keselak buku lain) ternyata ngebosenin, apalagi kalau udah urusan sama Sato. Sebel sampai akhir sama tokoh ini.
2. Jenuh sama premis novel-novel Dan Brown yang selalu menjanjikan "pengungkapan rahasia yang akan mengguncangkan umat manusia selamanya" tapi ujung-ujungnya entah nggak/belum jadi diungkapin atau sebenarnya udah diungkapin tapi tersebar secara subtil... yaelah (lalu lewat suara Tengo "tidak mengerti kalau tidak dijelaskan berarti takkan mengerti walau dijelaskan sebanyak apapun...")
3. Kalau nggak salah aku lumayan terkesan sama "rahasia" yang diungkapinnya, tapi ada bagian yang aku kurang setuju. Tapi sekarang udah lupa bagian yang mana, hahaha #sampah

Demikianlah. :))

I picked this book up last week while buying a bus pass.
I liked the book, and it certainly made me want to visit Washington, DC
again. But, Dan Brown didn't write a book, he wrote a movie script.

Repeatedly, characters say something to each other, but we do not find out what is said! Either write an Intrigue (we find out what the bad guys are doing), or write a detective novel (stick to one point of view).

I prefer detective novels.

It's great for someone who's reading Dan Brown's for the first time, but once you've read a couple of books, it seems monotonous.

The book has captivated me with its intricate plot, rich historical references, and thought-provoking themes. One of the greatest strengths lies in its ability to seamlessly weave together elements of history, art, science, and mythology, creating a narrative that is both entertaining and informative.
Dan-Brown's meticulous research is evident throughout the novel, as he incorporates real-world symbols, hidden codes, and esoteric knowledge into the storyline. This fusion of fact and fiction not only adds depth to the plot but also imparts a wealth of intriguing information to readers.
Also the fast-paced and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. The chapters are short and often end with cliffhangers, making it difficult to put the book down. I’ve immersed myself in the world that has been created by sir brown.

Although the entire book is a masterpiece, I was very impressed with these five quotes :
- "Great minds are always feared by lesser minds."
- "The human mind has a primitive ego defense mechanism that negates all realities that produce too much stress for the brain to handle."
- "Knowledge grows exponentially. The more we know, the greater our ability to learn, and the faster we expand our knowledge base."
- "The power of human thought grows exponentially with the number of minds that share that thought."
- "Faith is a continuum, and we each fall on that line where we may."

This book gets four stars only because I read it while interning in DC. I liked knowing where things were taking place, especially in the Capitol.
