I’ve written out my review 3x now, not because I didn’t know what to say. But, because obviously the app wanted to crash multiple times. There’s trauma. A lot of it. Not for the faint of heart. The troller coaster ride you go through of emotions! Prepare yourself it’s phenomenal.

was it also spicy yes!! i dont think its meant to be a lowkey sad book but when aero was telling briony about his past i wanted to cry !! i wanted to hug him sm.
i would reccommend reading this book if you want to read haunting adeline
i fell in love with aero and his crazy fucked up ness form the moment i opened the book !! the idea of stalker romance is a concept i heavily love but i was lowkey reluctant because i read the cat and mouse duet and hated it . however this was the complete opposite of that. this book is delightfully spicy with and equally toxic couple ( most / if not everything in this book between the fmc and mmc is consensual)
— they both are into kinky hardcore sex and i love that for them

when briony said “ i love you” and aero said “dont say that love is beneath us” my heart skipped a beat.
these two are so toxic they feel love in a different way.
also THE WAY BRIONY UNDERSTANDS AERO SO WELL. like so well she understands why he acts the way he does and she is okay with that.
also theres no third act breakup which made this book even better

Holy shit. What an insane trip. Did I love it? Absolutely. Would I recommend? Hell yeah. Are the main characters unhinged? Without a fucking doubt.

The size put me off this for ages but I finally picked it up and I’m so glad I did! I was worried that it was going to drag because of the size but it didn’t, nicely paced the whole way through. I flew through it much quicker than I was expecting, I loved everything about it. I was obsessed with Aero, I’d let that man do anything to me tbh. I loved seeing Briony grow and become more badass. I LOVED the spice, had me sweating constantly. Loved how the story played out. Without spoilers I was worried the big thing at the end wasn’t going to be enjoyable to read, but i did end up really enjoying how it played out. This was one of those books that I was actually gutted to end, so glad I finally picked it up.
This was the definition of a dark romance and I ate this up. At first I wasn’t clicking with the whole religious storyline, but the darker the plot got the more I started to realise the relevance of it to their relationship.
Aero’s character was very morally grey, this man was messed up and didn’t hold any of his darkness back when it came to Briony. He wasn’t planning to change for her, he was planning on bringing her to the dark side, and boy did he.
Briony has great character development we really see her go from the oppressed, eyes closed, virgin good girl, to a bad ass, sexy, dominant heroine. Their relationship is anything but the ordinary but they are perfect for each other.
The spice in this was hotttt, all the chilli stars for this book. If you’re looking for a dark romance with stalking and an unhinged sexy MMC, definitely give this a go.
