It was good, don’t get me wrong, this book was great. I love the world, the characters, and the many unique elements throughout. It was just so stinking long and unnecessarily so!! It took 900 pages for me to feel on the edge of my seat. Everything was interesting but the first 900 pages felt very slow paced. I was itching for more details and to learn more about this and that and it took hundreds of pages to get there! I always appreciate detail and proper world building, but this was excessive. I have yet to decide if I will read the rest of the books. I love the story but it took me 8 months to read this book because nothing was driving me to keep picking it up.
