This book was my first high fantasy novel. I read it because my husband read it and loved it. I was surprised when I loved it too. The characters Dalinar, Khaladin, and Shallan each follow their own storyline. As a good story always does, their stories collide. This book, by far has been the best book I’ve read in a while. I can’t wait to continue.

It’s hard to get into the story at first but so so worth it!! My first Sanderson and definitely not my last.

This was about 850 pages of boredom and praying that there would be two consequent chapters about the same time and place involving the same hard-to-like characters, followed by around a 150 pages of predictable action.

Yet it still makes me want to read the next book.
