Chelsea Cutro has EASILY become a favorite author of mine. She really knows how to write some heartbeakingly relatable characters, while also giving the most satisfying ending for romance books. Her main characters are so unique, yet I weirdly find myself relating to all of them on different levels. She is an author I will continue to love and support

I respect the effort it to to write this book. It was well written but wasn’t for me.

I really loved the story. I loved the main characters. The only part I didn’t like (hence the 4 stars) is that I didn’t believe any of the male friendship/conversations. They seemed more like a pack of girlfriends.

I binged AN UNEXPECTED PARADISE in less than a day. It’s THAT good. Jo Bowen is forced to attend a work trip with Jack Lancaster, her annoyingly attractive work enemy. Jo’s toxic ex-boyfriend is also in attendance. In the spur of the moment, she tells him that she has a boyfriend, and Jack quickly jumps in to play the part.

The narrators pronounced a few things weird which was jarring. 😂 I really enjoyed this. The MCs are intentionally child free in a way that resonates with me. I also enjoyed there was a fake dating trope that literally only lasted for like a day and a half 😂 no third act break up either!!!

I did forget where the book was set the entire time bc I kept assuming they were in Florida. There were some minor details that were so corny or hilarious but overall it was so nice. 😂

This was a debut novel by Chelsea and it was such a fun, quick spicy read.

This had a lot going on, but the main tropes were enemies to lovers and fake dating. Jo, was our ambitious FMC and Jack, our resident grump. I enjoyed their back and forth banter and they really demonstrated the whole enemy aspect well

This was an unexpected treasure to read! I downloaded both of Chelsea’s first two books when they came out to support a fellow bookstagrammer, but it took me a ridiculously long time to get around to reading the first (and then immediately after!) the second of them!

I loved this enemies-to-lovers story, and was totally drawn in for the duration. The steam was palpable from the start, and I love how the story concluded. Sign me up for any and all open door romance. Way hotter than most closed door!!

Addressing mental health, bar safety, difficult relationships, abusive relationships, and self-harm makes this book realistic in today’s world. The banter was natural and well-written. And I loved that we started getting to know Jack and Jo’s friends, in the hope we get to see more of them in future books!
