The narrator did a fantastic job and I cannot wait for the third book!

This book. My heart. How does Rainbow Rowell do it???

Kinda boring and didn’t actually give any answers at the end... should have stayed as a stand alone.

This was fun. I liked a lot of the new worldbuilding. The dead spots were a really cool introduction and I liked how magic diction was highlighted: American English vs British English. The character were mostly great. Baz remains my favorite because he is literally amazing. Simon was such a sad sack for a lot of the beginning of the story, but I loved seeing him able to just let loose and try and have fun. Penny annoyed me for part of the story, but I got over it pretty quickly. I was least interested in Agatha's storyline, but I knew it was super important. I'm just glad I liked all the other plots. And I really liked the new characters we were introduced too, and some new magical mythology is alwasy appreciated. I thought it was really a good time and it ended on quite the cliffhanger.

2.5/5, this is not what I expected and not really what I wanted. It felt very jumbled and I felt like it started off very differently than the way it ended. I think I’ll just think of Carry On as a stand-alone.

ok im fine theyre actually gay now

While this one isn't quite as amazing as the first one, it is still amazing enough for five magical stars.

So so charming. The perfect distraction from the world. The pace is perfect and the characters' voices shine through every page. I loved it.

Ooof. Two chapters in, and all the sad feelings were inside me. I know that when SimonxBaz get through to the other side they will be so solid and locked in, but for now it's really difficult to see them where they are now. I liked the new character, Shep, and am looking forward to more development and backstory for him in the next book. Mostly, I am excited to go back to England. Seeing Simon react to the different pieces of America was funny and cute, but it also felt a little bit wrong to see the gang in this different setting.

4.5⭐ I NEED book 3 NOW!
