This is a book after my own fucking heart

Brilliant! Lots of twists, super exciting, often hilarious, and overall a fantastic set of characters.

-if Harry, Draco and Hermione went to the USA after the war basically, but if Harry had wings and Draco was a vampire
-easy to read, the multiple pov's didn't bother me that much
-the twist was unexpected but the fight was a little anticlimactic

I liked the book well enough, but I could’ve lived without the last 10 lines or so...

what just happened?

did i just get an entire book where snowbaz considered breaking up?
BREAKING UP.
EXCUSE ME.

if anything, i have to say, this book was even better than Carry On. and that's pretty big. this still had the iconic and wonderful Harry Potter feel with magic and adventure, but this time, the main character isn't the most powerful wizard in the world (it kinda reminded me of Aelin in KOA ahah). and that was really exhilarating in a way. with the Chosen One not being powerful anymore, it really made the reader connect to the characters and Simon especially. everything that happened in this book seemed to be what would really happen in life, with such a realistic narration again. the characters were as wonderful as ever (though Shepherd kinda annoyed me) and the romance... well that was definitely realistic and extremely heartbreaking.

now i just wait for book 3.

Road trip through America

So I obviously can't say as much as for the first book because of spoiler, but this book follows the question "What happens after the hero fulfilled their destiny?" and that's pretty interesting. In most stories, it just ends there with a happy ever after, not in this one. The 2nd volume takes place after they finished school and go on a road trip to America with new adventures on the road.

Also, I enjoyed this one very much, but I still like the first one more. Maybe because the atmosphere here was a bit more sad? There were some more serious topics and less joking around, I guess, but it had to be like that. This part of the trilogy might feel like it has no big impact on the actual story, but it's important for character development (especially Baz), and well, it also introduces a new main character.

(this was my first review after I read it, and I want to add that it was way better when I reread it cause I could concentrate more on everything that was happening without worrying about their relationship xD Also there were more cute/fun moments than I remembered. So I recommend reading it again after you finished the trilogy)
