I really enjoyed reading this book, mostly because it's different from what I usually read and is in general more realistic and darker than I'm used to. I really liked the relationship Maren and Lee had, altough the end felt a bit rushed and sort of blah to me.. I guess I wish it was left more ambiguous.

Especially the very last chapter should have been skipped and I would have liked it if it were only implied not explicitly stated that she ate Lee. Also the thing with Jason just seemed weird to me idk maybe that's just me tho.

I liked almost everything else about this book. I definitely prefer the movie and how it ages up and matures the relationship between Maren and Lee, but on its own this book is really solid and I liked it a lot.

It was such an engaging interesting read but the ending felt really dull and flat. I felt things didn't have to end happy but it just ended.
