This one had some massive emotional angst going on, but I was fully invested.
Cecilia has gone through one of the worst periods of her life and is just barely surviving, but as soon as Gabriel meets her, he can’t give her up.
I loved how intense Gabriel was. He was so protective and adoring and he couldn’t help but be drawn to her. But he has his flaws—typical man, thinking he knows the right/correct thing always—but his intentions were pure. And Cecilia may seem weak at first, but you eventually learn how strong she is.
The chemistry between them was electric, and I loved how their friendship began to form initially. The connection between them could not be denied.
The Savage is not a complete story and does end with a cliffhanger, which was a surprise. But I’m hooked and ready for more.

This was a fresh breath in the dark and angsty romance genre!
The author had this practically educational approach to the topics, and I was happy to see she used the platform to discuss and bring awareness on some real-life instances as well.
I am lucky enough not to have gone through what Cecilia has, but I felt her trauma was addressed realistically, and her (re)actions made sense.
Gabriel is a darling, and so are Julio and Felix. Can't wait to have more books in this series!

Gabriel and Cecilia have dealt with some heavy trauma in their lives. These two took me on an emotional journey, this does end on a cliffhanger and it broke my heart.
The audio was so good, I listened to this in one sitting. Ramona Master and Noah B Perez did such an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Highly recommend the audio.

After falling in love with the Devil's of Sun Valley High series, I couldn't wait to see what the author would come up with with spin offs and so far she's onto a winner. You have to heed the warning at the start if you have triggers because it gets intense and quick, but I just want Gabriel and Cecelia to have all the happiness in the world.

This book was okay, I may have disliked both the main characters most of the time but there was potential!
Okay so I'll explain, the plot.. I liked! I liked Gabriel's friends and the whole found family dynamic. I liked the fact that Gabriel had been through this situation before and felt like he could save someone this time etc.
But I didn't like the actual characters, not together at least. Both of these characters are far too broken to be together or even attempt to be together.. and I have NEVER said that before. Gabriel is far too pushy and forceful, especially since he suspects what she's been through already. And her... See I forgot her name and I only finished reading it hours ago. Her, well she's just annoying tbh. But then there's also Gabriel's friends and how they "suspected" what she'd been through right down to the very last detail, like come on
