This one was really not it for me. I just think Eloise could have had a much more interesting, worldly story (though I mostly only know her character from the show). And I do not really like Phillip. He talked about hitting his kids at one point??? And he wanted a wife just so she could look after the children and he didn’t have to do anything, and so that he could bed her but barely even speak to her. I seriously did not see the passion in their relationship or understand her desire to be with him, and I found the plot rather boring.

It is odd to think of Eloise getting married, but it was her time. She deserved as much happiness as Penelope. Sir Phillip is not quite as charming as previous suitors in prior Bridgerton books but he eventually comes around and changes his ways and becomes a perfect match for Eloise.

What made it memorable:
Eloise’s story.
I honestly read this weeks ago and already don’t remember much.
