This is a long-form essay about queer iconography and presence in the show Schitt's Creek. If you, like me, absolutely adore that show, this is a fantastic read. I really appreciate the author's perspectives and callouts of specific moments from the show. My favorite is the idea that the town of Schitt's Creek is an ideal bubble where acceptance is the baseline while not being a utopia.

I absolutely adore Schitt’s Creek and jumped at the chance to consume more related media.
This super short book explores the show, from its context in tv history to the fashion choices to the queering of common tropes.
While it doesn’t break ground in theory, and there are a few things that slipped through proofing, overall this was an enjoyable read. Schitt’s Creek means a lot to many of us, and reflecting more on the substance behind it was heartwarming and fun.
