this book made me cry and giggle in public.
It had Every good trope: grumpy x sunshine , friends to lovers, fake dating, slow burn , pining, HAPPY ENDING
and encapsulating the whole EsSence of messy 17 year olds who are growing into their own identities, and such thoughtful, loving portrayal of their relationships with their family. also got to learn abt other cultures and diaspora experiences while reading

This was like To All the Boys I've Loved Before, but LGBTQ+, set in Ireland, with Indian and Bengali main characters. I'm not much for romance books, but this was a sweet story. The sibling and political themes were a nice touch.

i really liked their communities taking them in with open arms, and especially nikhita and ishita getting closer <3 because that also means that humaira won't be friends with only her gf phew yay friends!!!
