Again, Jodi Picoult manages to present a story that beautifully illustrates both sides of the story. This time she tackles Nazi war criminals. Most of Picoult's books deal with controversial issues. The Storyteller is not so much controversial as it is heart wrenching.

Good book, classic Picoult. What added to my enjoyment was the audible book. There were 4 or so characters in the book, each who narrated their part of the story. Rather than have one person act out all characters, this book had a different person for each character. What a difference this made! I recommend the book but highly recommend the audible book.
Note: this story depicts in detail the Holocost, both from a survivor's side as well as that of an SS officer. Not for the feint hearted.

Holy shit. Took me several pauses with lighthearted books to be able to get through this. It was really hard. Heavy. Emotionally challenging. Everyone should have to read this.
It was worth it, though extra challenging in our current political climate. I only had a hard time keeping up with the story within the story, I feel like I would’ve felt a stronger connection to it via the physical book. Audiobook presentation was really well done.
