The description held such promise. I usually get through a good book in two days, MAX. I have been trying to read this book for a couple of weeks. I had to stop. I just didn't care. I managed to make it to chapter 23. I saw the number of chapters left, and I was done.

I didn't like the heroine. I thought she was immature and unpleasant. I did like Vince, and the other characters seemed interesting. I could not get into this book. I very seldom, if ever, do not complete a book. I ended up skimming through a lot and not finishing this book.

I hate to give a book one star, if for nothing else, I know the writer put a lot of work into it.

Although the other characters seemed interesting, I don't know if I want to be bothered with the other books. I would hate to be disappointed all over again.

I really like the dynamics of the sisters in this story and how they all fit into their new roles at the resort. I liked the idea of the romance between Vince and Cami but I honestly never felt the connection between them. I would have liked it if there had been more focus on them getting to know each other instead of them just kind of falling into what seemed like instalove. I’m kind of torn because I like that Vince just went for it with her but their very first time they were already acting like a couple who had known each other for longer than two quick conversations. I also realize that I think a lot like Cami and I just wanted her to fight falling in line with everything her dad wanted for her. Even though I agreed with what he thought was right for her I always get annoyed that someone else has chosen to make those choices for someone else.

So this book was ok. I liked Cami dealing with things but I hate what the story line is with the the cheating dad!! What a jerk. I really couldn't have respect for him. It bugged me more then it did any of the girls.

I read this book a few years ago and really enjoyed it and the rest of the series!

Heather writes wonderful tales!

I also recall quite enjoying the narration!

Cute story

Very cute and sweet love story. Easy and comfortable read. So many characters it was sometimes hard keeping track of the story line.

When I went into this story, I thought I was backtracking a bit, as I had already read the author's Love In Juniper Ridge series. Surprisingly, the story didn't have much use of the town as a backdrop, in fact things felt very separate from that other series!

George DiCarlo did a lot of manipulation before his death, and that really didn't sit well with me. It seemed he didn't trust his daughters to do anything for themselves! He hand picked their jobs in his resort and the men he wanted them to end up with! It drove me crazy!

That being said, with all of that adversity stacked against them, I enjoyed seeing how the daughters succeeded, despite his manipulations. I thought it was especially interesting to see how Vince and Cami got together despite the manipulation and their misgivings of it. The situation felt a little too insta-love for my tastes, but was still entertaining enough to keep me engaged in the story.

I especially liked the suspense thread that was woven in to the story, and wanted to read the next book almost immediately, just to see what kind of suspense could be woven into that story! I can't wait to read the next book now!

I read the first 3 books in this series fairly quickly over the weekend on my Kindle and have mixed feelings. I liked certain aspects of the story and the characters, but the "background" element of the father's several affairs (resulting in the group of half-sisters) just kept bugging me.

6 women are thrown together when they realize that they are half-sisters (same father with five different women). According to their deceased father's will, for them to receive their (fairly sizable) inheritances, they need to pull together to make a brand new resort work in Colorado.

It was an interesting concept and I'll admit that at first I was rather skeptical, but I certainly enjoyed the ride as Cami (the eldest among the sisters) deals with the shock of learning she had 4 sisters she hadn't known of previously and dealing with life in Colorado.

A little bit of intrigue, a healthy dose of romance, and dealing with family matters it made an enjoyable read.

Fairly clean read (with minimal swearing and "they went to the bedroom..." sort of fadeout.

I had gotten this book as part of a kindle set with other books and it interested me enough to pick up the next book in the series.
