Good riddance to these characters and this series! I AM DONE!! It amazes me that the author managed to write a 16 book series with characters who aren't really likable.
And OMG that ending. I just...I think I'm just speechless at the ridiculousness at this point.
Ok quick recap - at the end of the last book the girls were arrested for killing Ali based on police finding blood, Ali's tooth, and a journal written by Ali at the pool house the girls were stalking. Now the girls are about to go to trial but not before some more hi-jinks ensue!
Emily: drowns herself in the ocean early on in the book and I wasn't sad to see her go. But is she really dead? Pretty sure you can figure out the answer to that
Spencer: hooks up with Wren again, because he was such a stand up guy in the beginning. And also meets with a sketchy ex-inmate in an attempt to learn how to adjust to prison life. Ultimately, this ends with her stealing her mothers jewelry in an effort to buy a new identity from said ex-inmate.
Aria: flees the country and heads to Europe. Puppy dog Noel follows and finds her in Amsterdam and then they are soon caught by Interpol and dragged back to Rosewood for the trial.
Hanna: decides to marry Mike and manages to plan a wedding and go to trial all in the same week.
Ali: just being crazy Ali like normal.
This book could have been combined with the previous book and would have been fine. There was a lot of filler information that I just didn't care about. And the epilogue of sorts was over the top. The author said in her acknowledgements that this is the end, but we've heard that before so who knows. Maybe Ali will escape and terrorize the girls all the way to old age.
But for me, I am done. Should have just stuck to the TV show.
I don't know how I feel about being done with this. There's a hole in my life where the pretty little liars should be.

No one showed up to Foods 10 so I got to read this all class. I'm so happy with ending.
If I could give it 0 stars, I would. If I had the ability to stop reading a series after I start it I wouldn't have read past the third or fourth book.
It drags on and on through 12/13 books using the same tropes and the same "twists" and then the ending is super rushed. Disappointing doesn't cover it. I just wanted to read some good, trashy YA but this was "not it."
