This book broke me, ravaged my heart, then made me whole. I really loved how genuine the heartbreak felt. I did think it lingered in certain things longer than it should, then blew through others more quickly than I would have liked. The asylum rage scene… maybe I’m just a disturbing soul, but I wanted more, more, MORE! I’ll be honest, I didn’t love the spice scenes. The ones with Greystone were solid, but they others felt forced and a little uninspired. The image it was giving in my head was the scene in the movie Easy A when Emma Stone is faking having intercourse at that party, jumping on the bed, and going “Oh, yeah, baby. Oh, yeah.” It just wasn’t doing it for me. I loved all the twists. Brandi, if you ever kill Dessy again, you will have hell to pay. I will burn the world down for him. (; Can’t wait for book 4!

If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I would. This book so far is my favorite out of the series.
Character growth for Skylenna is phenomenal. Some events transpired that forced her mind to finally break which set her on a path to find the truth. And let me tell you, she found the truth alright. She unlocked hidden memories and found out things that she didn’t know were done by her design. I can’t speak on that without giving spoilers. There was plot twist after plot twist. This book is a real page turner and I’m excited to continue the story. As always Brandi leaves me in awe at the end of her books and leaves me on my knees begging for more. Skylenna grows into her own. She becomes strong and unstoppable. The rage she has in this book is
