Warning: contains "Scottish" brogue and coerced sex by the hero.

It starts off by jabbing pointy objects into my ears... oh, sorry, that should be... it starts off in Romancelandia Scottish dialect. Fortunately, after the prologue that pretense is dropped.

The world-building is just as confusing as in previous books in the series (it's all blah blah cheesy blah to me), so I don't think it really matters whether you've read anything else in the series yet or not.

The story: also cheesy. I think I would have enjoyed it more, though, if Jag hadn't been such a total douchecanoe. Also, if you don't like rape/sexual blackmail fantasies, Jag and Olivia's relationship might be hard for you to stomach.

Another great book in this series! Loved watching the conflicts, and working through them, and all the developments! Can't wait to read the next book!

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Jag at first, but it turns out that he was one of my favorite Ferals. I always figured that there was an underlying reason why he was so rude and watching him come to terms with his past was touching. I also loved Olivia. She was such a strong, kick ass woman with cool powers that no one else really had. She also had a vulnerable side which made her more approachable. I thought the two of them together were a great pair. I love that this series has such great action scenes. They really keep you on the edge of your seat while you read. My main problem with this series is that the books don't really stand up on their own. You really have to have read the entire series in order to really understand what is going on. The books don't ever really have their own ending because they are setting you up for the next book. I just wish that the books wouldn't leave so much open just to lead into the next one.

By far my favorite of the series. I actually listened to the whole book without skipping any parts. I can't say the same for the first 3 books.

Jag was a total asshole. And there was a few moments where I hated him for the way he treated Olivia. If I didn't get his POV I would have hated him and I would have put the book down. I actually really liked him. Tortured souls are always some of my favorite heros. And Olivia was also pretty fantastic. She was a badass and didn't put up with Jag's shit.

I really liked the romance in this book. I honestly couldn't tell you about the demons and all the other crap that happened. I mean yes some demon shit went down. That's for sure but the romance was the focus of this book.

I actually have no desire to read the next book. Kougar does nothing for me and the little hints that we got about his story do not intrigue me at all. But Ill get to it eventually.
