meh.. i hate how it was written in both first and third person? very confusing and hard to follow

Everything was going well. The story was fun, the characters less and less annoying, the smut was good. But then the last third of the book happened. The soap opera storylines and the 2 dudes constantly saying how fucking amazing, incredible, awesome Claire is. And a little moment of girl hate was unnecessary.

C'est poussée par une curiosité un peu coquine que j'ai lu ce trio MMF, et aussi parce qu'il est écrit par Elle Kennedy, une auteur que j'ai bien apprécié en NA.
Ce livre est le tome 9 d'une série que j'imagine consacrée à des SEAL ou du moins à des militaires.
Le pitch de base est un peu scabreux : Claire se fait larguer au pied de l'autel et c'est son futur/ex beau-frère qui doit, bien malgré lui, jouer les messagers. Claire et Dylan se détestent cordialement, ils ont une très mauvaise opinion l'une de l'autre, opinion complètement infondée et basée sur des malentendus que seront bien évidemment éclaircis.
Malgré le peu de bien qu'il pense de Claire, Dylan la ramène chez lui, loin de San Francisco, loin de sa famille à elle et de tout le désastre entourant le fiasco du mariage. Seulement Dylan vit en colocation avec Aidan, ténébreux militaire lui aussi, avec lequel il entretient une relation ... particulière.
Au tout début du livre et trois mois avant le début de l'intrigue actuelle, Claire avait surpris Aidan et Dylan échanger un baiser torride et elle en avait été grandement émoustillée. Là, elle va devoir cohabiter avec deux mecs torrides qui ne cachent pas leur désir de faire d'elle leur quatre heures, et plus si affinités ...
Dylan et Aidan sont bi, ils mettent le feu aux draps à deux, mais de temps à autre, ils aiment ajouter une femme à l'équation et après avoir bien hésité, Claire va céder à son désir et franchir ses tabous. S'ensuit alors une relation polyamoureuse qu'elle défendra bec et ongles, alors même que sa famille et son ex s'acharnent à lui pourrir la vie.
Alors quand on lit ce genre de livres, on jette toute vraisemblance par-dessus les moulins, sinon c'est fichu d'avance. Au-delà d'un banal livre érotique un peu plus épicé que la moyenne (et encore, je m'attendais à des scènes de sexe plus corsées, même si c'est déjà pas mal), on a une romance, à trois certes, mais pas trop mal fichue, plutôt bien écrite, avec fluidité, que je me suis surprise à apprécier.

So I wanted a steamy, quick read and I've read a lot of MM novels lately, so when I saw this recommended in a MMF discussion thread I thought I'd go for it. I've read some of Elle's other books and really enjoyed them, but this is the first book I've read in this series.
The book was steamy, for sure and I felt like it had potential. Occasionally it had some witty moments and I liked the banter between Dylan and Aidan and their friends The premise of the story is decent, the whole left at the altar and saved by the fiancés brother, but the way it developed from there wasn't really convincing for me. Claire went from basically saying she would never ever sleep with Dylan to jumping him after being locked in the same room as him for half an hour.
It was alright for what I wanted at the time, but I don't think I'll be reading any of the other books in the series.

I have limited experience with MMF, but this story stands out to me as having excellent development of the relationship between Dylan and Aidan (the two main male characters) and how that informs their relationship to Claire (the main female character). Of the three main characters, I was disappointed that Dylan is the least developed, especially since it feels (I didn't do a word count comparison or anything crazy like that) that he gets more POV time than Aidan. At the time I read this I hadn't read any of the other books in the series, perhaps Dylan is better developed in the earlier books and that explains his lack of development in his own story. It read well as a stand alone, and made me curious about the stories of the other couples.
