Some of the chapters are a bit too much for me. Overall a great book, but not for beginners
I’m surprised I made it as far as I did considering how much pedophilia, incest, sexual assault, and bestiality I encountered in this short span.

there are repetitive indications of rape and sexual abuse but the way it is written consent is always given.
difficult to read at points, hilarious at others. not sure how to summarise, just make sure it isn't your first sexual rodeo. remember this is fantasy writing and unconventional situations. make sure you fully understand consent before reading and once your past the first story - which was the most uncomfortable for me - you're over the worst of it.

This is the frenchest thing I’ve ever read, and I’ve read the Lais of Maries de France. It’s yearning, longing, lingering erotica that, even in its engagement with taboos both modern and old, is crafted with prose so profoundly enveloping, hazy and dreamlike that I don’t think any amount of internet “ick” or whatever at the content could really crack what makes this such a classic. It asks for an open mind, and I’d say the book itself is also an open mind in what it shares.
