Damn girl, this was so good!
I fell in love with Leon instantly, I loved how protective he was over Rae.
The overall story was interesting. The steam was... holy hell!

Ugh i’m so sad. I wanted this is be a five star read so bad. It really did have all the makings of one too.

For half of this book I want to jump in the book and harm Rae myself. I was so pissed. My least favorite things in books is stupid FMC and this one was the worst. Like she purposely did everything Leon said not to do. I had to close the book and take a walk at some point.

Leon, I loved him sm. I was so funny for a immortal demon. The sass he gave Rae when she was begging him to save her was so funny. He is honestly the only reason this was even a two star. Also i don’t know if it just me but it wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be for a dark romance. Idk maybe it’s just me.

But overall I loved the consent and the use of safe words. So yea.

3 stars for Leon because I love him and he carries this story. The plot ended up falling flat for me. It felt like a very entry level demon storyline. The plot didn’t pick up until the last 40% but it felt very rushed and predictable. My other issue with this was our FMC Rae. She has officially made the list of my least favorite FMC’s. She says at one point she’s “too special to die.” I mean, really? By the halfway point I just couldn’t care less whether she survived or not.
I still plan on reading the other books in this trilogy since I’ve heard they are a lot better.
