Even though this book is a pandemic book, for the majority of the book it’s poems felt extremely apt for this current life we live, especially in the United States. It was very much a book even for this time.

There is some powerful stuff in here and some wonderful lines, but these don't feel like poems. They feel like essays or political speeches full of grand statements and lacking in the detail, imagery, and personal touch needed to ground them and make them really interesting.
