DID NOT FINISH: 16%

It's good but I'm not much of a Poetry person.  Some poems were really poignant but because there wasn't a narrative I got bored.  But it's not a problem with the book but a difference in what literature I personally enjoy reading.

True rating - 4.5 stars. I am usually not a big poetry fan, but I have to say that Amanda Gorman’s words moved me very deeply.

A must read for everyone who call themselves an American

A lot of Covid poems in this one. I’m looking forward to the time where artists have worked their way through all the Covid stuff and we can get some non-lockdown art. These were interesting poems and probably deserve multiple readings.

Through revealing our shared language and our shared language, Gorman finds ways we can come together in spite of (and in) our calamities and suffering.
