As usual, complex, finely drawn characters....it's just that I liked Big, Little Lies better

It was a light read, kept me interested. I feel like the end was a bit rushed, liked how the epilogue tied things up a bit more than normal, stating what the characters' lives would have been like if the original storyline hadn't happened.

I really regret putting off reading this book for so long. The only other [a:Liane Moriarty|322069|Liane Moriarty|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1459827224p2/322069.jpg] book I've read, [b:What Alice Forgot|6469165|What Alice Forgot|Liane Moriarty|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1377159022l/6469165._SY75_.jpg|6659752], was good but not very memorable for me, so I was not as eager to read another one of her lengthy novels.
This book is much more intriguing, and I was able to get a much better sense of Moriarty's writing style, which I have come to enjoy. The stories and characters are realistic, relatable, funny, and genuine. I was hooked from page one, desperate to find out what the husband's secret was and how everything was going to play out. I appreciated the way we were able to see each of the women through their own eyes and through the eyes of the other characters.
Moriarty is a master at revealing details little by little, sprinkled throughout the pages - piquing the readers' interest but still leaving them hanging. I enjoyed how short the chapters were, making the long book seem shorter and easier to digest. The storyline is intriguing and well-paced, and Moriarty was able to create unique but equally likable characters in all three of the women.
To cap it off, that epilogue was spectacular. Brief and omniscient, but it really packs a punch and makes you think of all the what if's in life.

Really enjoyable quick read- suspenseful, while at the same time a fascinating look into our everyday lives. The choices we make, and the consequences of those choices, are this book's central theme.
look, yes some moments have aged poorly but an epilogue like that always gets me.
