Everyone and do mean everyone sucks here. Except my boy, Luke, may he rest in peace (not positive he died but all signs point to yes). I can’t stand when the MC is so unlikable and idiotic. It’s an instant increase in likelihood I won’t finish the story. Also story is very heavily dystopian, which isn’t what I was signing up for. Rebellion against tyranny, yes. Dystopian no.

God I loved this book. Definitely going to one of my all time favourites. Sophia’s fight to the very end to
ending Manfred’s reign
meant so much to me and
stopping the tyranny over the people allowing for women to be free and have actual choices
was so important to me and I’m so proud of her

Such a great book! Queer representation with black main characters. A Cinderella retelling with a twist, and strong female characters. I really loved this book, and how Sophia never gave up her fight for others. Perfect to read in the fall/winter.
