2.5 stars - not sure what genre this actually is but honestly the story just wasn’t compelling.

A pretty uplifting and sweet book, even as the characters work through some big stuff. Leena, an overworked 30-something workaholic is put on a two-month leave for work and decides to live at her grandmother's house in a sleepy town. Meanwhile, her grandmother was recently deserted by her husband, so she moves into Leena's London apartment to test out the London older-adults dating scene. This book has a delightful (even when they are inherently annoying) cast of supporting characters and really highlights the important of intergenerational friendships and getting involved in your community.

I love the way O'Leary tells a story. It would seem simple, but finding a novel that is well written with wonderful characters and a fun, thoughtful plot isn't always easy to find, but she delivers. Great read.

Overall a cute story but it was just too bland and boring to me.
