I really loved this! This is so wonderfully quintessential coming-of-age; I love the characters (especially Hassan), the wit/humor, and the classic John Green intelligence in the writing. The only reason I can’t rate this as 5 is because the moral about mattering and whatnot fell as bit flat, and had to be stated out-right in the epilogue. Nevertheless, it’s simple and sweet and very enjoyable.

A delightful read that I shared with my fiance. I would definitely recommend the audio version. Also appreciated all the different explanations/footnotes throughout the story as I thought they were quite funny and informative (e.g. the use of "fug" and explanation for its use).

As for the audio I had a problem with how much bass there was. My fiance and I had to turn the volume really loud in order to hear the author properly as he sounded muffled sometimes. This was the only downside to listening to the Audible audiobook experience.

A bit tricky to read with all the foot note and the way the main character spoke. But I still enhoyed it.

I read this, or atleast tried to after i read (and loved) the fault in our stars.
the starting, it was interesting and i did laugh out loud quite a few times while reading, that's one of things i love about John Green's writing.
But i lost interest as there was literally no plot, and there was no purpose to continue reading. I was getting sick of the anagrams, the venn diagrams, and basically Colin being a "child prodigy". It got more and more annoying with every page :)

So not my favorite John Green. I'm not sure exactly what it was I didn't like. But it felt whiny and young. I did enjoy the hog hunt but that was about it.
